Troubleshooting Guide For
Common EV Charger Issues

Most Common Issues

  • No light on the charger
This means it has lost power.  Ensure that the switch in the RCBO (see image) is in the UP position.  If it won’t stay in the UP position it may be faulty in which case please get in touch and we will address it.
  • Lost internet connection
This is quite common as internet glitches are fairly normal. Simply switch off your charger at the RCBO (see photo), reboot your Wi-Fi router, and then switch the RCBO back on. The charger should then find the Wi-Fi.
  • Failing to charge
The most common cause of this is having a schedule set for the vehicle (on the App or on the dashboard), which is conflicting with the instructions you are giving the charger.  Make sure if you’re scheduling using the Sync App, you have nothing set on the car.

If the charger is failing to start charging even on an Auto Start setting, try rebooting the charger at the RCBO – switch off and on again in good old IT Crowd style.  This cures a multitude of issues.
